HTTPS Everywhere

One of the best ways to protect yourself online from Man-In-The-Middle attacks is using HTTPS. Even though many websites know this they have neglected to enable this functionality by default or in some cases at all. To help with the former case the Electronic Frontier Foundation has developed a browser extension called HTTPS Everywhere which is designed to force your browser to connect to websites securely when it is available. This also help thwart Mass surveillance agencies who sit on the wire between you and the website you’re visiting. I would encourage everyone to install this extension because it makes mass surveillance of the internet that much harder.

HTTPS Everywhere is available for Chrome and Firefox.
